COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Enter, if you will, all the glorious aromatic complexity of the hop. This big, bold IPAs intense multi-hop kick gets a subtle dose of restraint from select Crystal and Carastan malts. For discriminating hop heads.

This is an intriguing beer, quite complex. The initial blast was more pilsner than ipa but go back again and you get that strong blast of orange, grapefruit and melted butter sweetness. Not overpowering by any means, and very pleasant. The taste is big malt then loads and loads of bitterness to finish. Slightly astringent mouthfeel otherwise i would have rated higher. Im a big fan of deschutes and this hasnt changed my mind.

Pours light brown with close head. Aroma is faintly chemical and a tobacco-like whiff. Straight bitter is predominant flavor with some orange, caramel and honey. This last note detracts. Palate is average, unremarkable. A good beer if you are in the mood for bitter.

12oz bottle, hazy copper with an off-white head and good lacing. citrus aroma and taste with piny hos and caramel malt. Quite enjoyable.

iguanodon (142) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - JUL 6, 2012
Pours a dark amber with a thick head. Aroma is citrus, caramel, faint earth. Taste is malty caramel with good hop balance. Kind of malty for an IPA which I wouldnt normally care for but it works here.

This solid IPA held everything from a medium boldness to an abundance of hops. I really enjoyed this beer.

Pours a golden brown - a little bit darker for this style. Nice head and lacing. Aroma of apricot and pine. Big mouth feel with resiny floral hops, and full, slightly bitter finish.

Bottle to pint glass. Looks the part of a good IPA. All downhill after that, and I cant quite explain it. Deschutes is a great brewery, ratings on this are bad. Maybe I got a bad 6 pack, because the 2 Ive sampled have been extremely skunky and the hops are nowhere to be found. Very surprising. Will update if it turns out this was a "bad batch" (which happens to every brewer).

Very pleasant aroma for this beer. It is darker in color but has a smooth taste and slightly bitter finish ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I liked this one. Enough hoppy citrus to bitter up the buds and the creamy malts smooth it all away. I was not expecting such a complex tasting brew when I popped the top. Descent off white head and plenty of aroma to keep the drinker interested during enjoyment.

12oz [email protected] in a wine glass. Pours well with nice aromas of cherry and citrus. Cloudy light orange/yellow in color. Mild bubbly head. Smooth on the palate, but hits you with an abrupt dose of hops.
