COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Enter, if you will, all the glorious aromatic complexity of the hop. This big, bold IPA’s intense multi-hop kick gets a subtle dose of restraint from select Crystal and Carastan malts. For discriminating hop heads.

Leighton (22027) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 5, 2012
Bottle at Sander’s place, NYC that time we drank lots of beer. Pours red-gold with a small, white foam head. Big caramel nose with hints of pine. Medium sweet flavor with more caramel, toast, some gritty pine. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Piney hop finish with still lots of caramel, some dank grapefruit. OK. Might not be at its freshest, that’s for sure.

Bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007
Hazy amber color; creamy head. Nice hoppy aroma, a bit resiny. Medium mouthfeel, with some good malt and caramel, some sweetness, well balanced (and more) by the bitterness, some resins. Good IPA (American), but straight, without special interest.

Cask handpull at Horse Brass Pub, Portland. Chestnut, disappearing off white head. Slightly earthy hop aroma. Smooth in aroma. Has some depth, just not sure where the malt is going. Great grapefruit, tropical fruit earth finish. Some toffee on the malt. Nice fruit as well in mouth. Interesting.

(Stockholm Beer Festival 2006) Orange, white head. Hoppy, citric and grassy aroma. Very hoppy flavor, very much an american IPA.
