COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Enter, if you will, all the glorious aromatic complexity of the hop. This big, bold IPA’s intense multi-hop kick gets a subtle dose of restraint from select Crystal and Carastan malts. For discriminating hop heads.

Clear bright amber with a full head. About average hoppy-toasty with a c-hop accent. Nice balance, a little old school in that regard, with wood, toast and a bit of grapefruit as well. Even-handed for a 75IBU brew.

Bottled. Amber color, small white head. Strong fruity, sweet hoppy nose. Grassy, long bitter taste. Bitter aftertaste. "Normal" balance IPA.

yngwie (17078) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 21, 2013
Bottle, 12oz. It pours a more or less clear body, dark golden in color, and with a small, off-white head. Some tropical fruits in the aroma, canned peaches in syrup mostly, and some malts. Soft on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level. Full body. A bit low on bitterness in the flavor. And too sweet. Long fruity finish. A decent ipa that doesn’t impress. 130821

Bottle thanks to a generous trader. Pours clear amber with tan head. Nose of floral hops and malts. Taste is tasty, a bit grainy. Some citrus with the hops and malt balance.

Benzai (15937) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - OCT 31, 2013
Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus, Joes and Martinus at weekly tasting. Clear dark orange color, small white head. Smell malts, hops, lightly resin, mango. Taste malts, hops, resin, bitter, spruce. Oh lovely bitter spruce-resinous finish. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. Nice, but how much better would it have been when it was really fresh!? Still, very nice!

MiP (15920) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - AUG 22, 2013
Bottle, 6.8%. Mild flowery aroma. Cloudy amber colour. Big stable fluffy tan head. The flavour has a high bitterness level along with a mild fruity note. The bitterness is clean, but quite uncompromising. Quinine bitterness, which is not really my favourite.

Ferris (15910) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 14, 2013
Draft - Floral hops with a nice balance. Clear copper with a decent thick head. Nice and floral with a citrus punch, very nice malt balance. Nothing stands out, but just so well balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aromas of citrus (grapefruit?) and malt? A bit redder than most IPAs, and a bit more body. Something like a thinner, hoppier doppel bock? The grassy finish covers both sides and top of tongue. Curl up with this one. (or these three) A major Deschutes innovation.
