[ Trade by SecretSanta ]. Clear medium to dark red - orange amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, bread, wood, vanilla notes, light alcohol. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. 
From bottle #16 at sk8vikings American blind tasting. Pours hazy orange with a fully diminished white head. Wineous and fruity aroma, light yeasty. Solid barley wine caramel dense flavour. Sweet caramel and alcohol warming. Sweet lingering caramel flavour. Light alcohol bite. Ends lingering alcohol and dense caramel flavoured. Bottled - tasted blind. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of caramel and hops, as well as light notes of spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, caramel, and malt, leading to a dry straw finish. Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy spicy dark fruit aroma. Sweetish malty caramel flavor with some spicy hints. Sweetish malty hoppy bitter finish with some spicy hints.

Tasting at Chez Bruce. Thanks to Colin. Hazy deep amber beer, good bubbly pale tan head. Palate is airy and a little dry. Light fine carbonation. Sweetish light malt with a nice toffee streak. Spice. Touch of dried fruits but it’s mostly toffee and big beer spice. Light dry finish.

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2008 (Bottle 75 cl) Pours a hazy, dark amber with a small, off-white head. Dry, hoppy and very aromatic nose. Medium body with lots of caramel and a somewhat blurred hop profile.
