This is base camp, where any craft brew exploration begins. A distinct hop nose and hop-forward flavor make Mirror Pond the quintessential Pale Ale. It is aromatically complex, multi-layered, and unmistakably “right.”

Amber golden, very creamy and lovely. Smooth cara and toast malts, pine hops. Smooth body. Touch sweet. Pretty nice, especially the aroma. (33cl bottle from market at Stinson Beach)

Aroma is slightly sweet. Taste is some sweetness mixed with some lightly bitter hops. Overall nothing special.

12floz bottle, $1.50, BBD 07.07.2017, pint glass. "Base camp..." is an apt description for this beer, it’s just simply well crafted without any pretense. Presents itself with light fruit, honey, and cereal grain aroma from a golden-copper body. Drinking wise, it flows easy with a lightly toasted flavor with a lightish-medium bodied palate. I can fall back to this beer anytime.

Originally rated on 1/9/09. A fairly decent pale ale by Deschutes, A amber body with a thin cap that left decent lace. Aroma was a little piney with some floral hints. Flavor was also of pine with malts balancing it out, slightly bitter finish at first but the taste buds adapted about half way though making the finish smooth. Overall a pretty decent beer.

An average pale ale. Some English yeast like flavors with bitterness. Nice head. Body has a creaminess. Average. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mirror Pond is your typical WC Pale Ale as a matter of fact it is probably the base WC PA by which all others are compared. There are better Pales but this one never disappoints and is always a great beer when out on the golf course.

Draft. Pours orange with a white head. Mild hop bitterness, pale crackery malts, light fruity notes, and a relatively clean finish. Decent.

33 cl bottle from Ale and Lager, Publika Kuala Lumpur. Pours amber with little head. Sweet caramel and hoppy aroma. Citrus and sweet malty hops taste.

Beaver (1789) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - APR 5, 2017
12 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy copper gold with a big fluffy white head that retains well and leaves little lacing.

The aroma is sweet biscuity caramel malt with a little apple.

The flavor is sweet biscuity caramel malt with a little earthy fruit and a light bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, an OK malty pale.
