Pours a light clear copper with off white head, no lacing with this beer. Smells fresh and piney. Tastes slightly of citrus, but smooth with a light creaminess. Not a lot of hops, more of an aftertaste. I would probably opt for another pale ale over this one. RickS95 (36) - Evansville, Indiana, USA - OCT 20, 2008
Pours orange with almost no head, and little lacing to follow. Bitter hops in the nose that stays til the finish and well after its gone. Minutes after finishing the glass, I could still taste bitter in my mouth.
A man’s beer. Not for the timid, despite only being 5.0% alcohol as listed on the label. jcdsmack (88) - Henderson, Nevada, USA - OCT 17, 2008
Pours acopper orange with a tan headaroma of cascade and full malt nicely balanced slight bitterness on the tongue almost no real hop bite more like a copper ale than a pale in that regard good beer but not as strong in the flavor department as I prefer, possibly the lack ABV% results in less hop flavor to maintain the superior balance. adm (5) - Alfold Crossways, Surrey, ENGLAND - OCT 13, 2008 does not count
Enjoyable - although my rating is probably a bit unfairly low as I have only been able to drink this out of the bottle with no available glass - so the aroma and appearance probably aren’t getting a fair chance....
Anyway - nice Cascade aroma, but quite earthy. I’m going to pass on appearance, but the flavour is fairly bready, with not much lingering hop aftertaste. Medium body. Bronzan (158) - Windsor, California, USA - OCT 12, 2008
A nice pale ale. Fairly hoppy. Quite smooth with a semi-sweet aftertaste.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear, medium honey-orange color; bright white head with good retention and fine-bubbled lacing. Resiny, fresh earthy and floral hops in the aroma; some tree fruits and sweet malts. Medium mouthfeel: lots of sweet earthy and floral hops upfront; clean and resiny hop character; some earthy, basic candy sugar maltiness underneath; very drinkable, nicely composed APA. Medium finish: toasty malts, earthiness, and lingering dry bitterness; toasty and crisp. anders37 (26878) - Malmö, SWEDEN - OCT 6, 2008
Draught @ Horse Brass Pub, Portland. Pours a slightly hazy dark ambe color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy citrus aroma. Sweetish malty hoppy citrus flavor. Has a sweetish malty hoppy bitter citrus finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste. durhambeer (2500) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - OCT 6, 2008
Bottle from WBF in Durham. Amber pour, off white head. This was surprisingly good... and very hoppy for a pale ale thanks to the abundance of Cascade hops. Skunky, resiny, citrusy, tasty hops. A bit thin. Good stuff. ucusty (2691) - raleigh, North Carolina, USA - OCT 5, 2008
Hazy amber pour, fluffy off white head. Citrus and grains on the nose. Thin bodied and very sessional. Citrus flavor. Long bitter finish. stchloe (1104) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 26, 2008
Nothing special. A session amber, perhaps overpriced and overhyped. Thin an unobstrusive character.
