COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is base camp, where any craft brew exploration begins. A distinct hop nose and hop-forward flavor make Mirror Pond the quintessential Pale Ale. It is aromatically complex, multi-layered, and unmistakably “right.”

My favorite beer I’ve ever had. I’ve tried many, and I still find myself sticking to this one. Doesn’t get any better.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazed orange amber with a thin white head. Soft toast and a slight bit of citrus on the nose. Soft citrus, musk, a bit of fruit. Medium bodied, crisp grain and a bit of sweet malt, a touch of crackers, earthy bitterness. Slow citrus and pithy grapefruit, a bit of pine on the finish. Fairly easy.

En fin smag af frugtagtig sødme, og en mild humle. Let at drikke..............

bottle. Poured clear medium amber with a rocky off-white head. Herbal hop aroma. Light-medium body, creamy carbonation, crisp tart mouthfeel. Light pale malt base, grainy with piney hops, peppery with a resiny finish.

Pours clear amber, bright, with a finger of a off-white head and nice sticky lacing. Aroma of ale malts, floral and citrus hops, quite delicate. Good balanced, ale malts are there, the hops don’t cover them but they aren’t enough, IMO. Some citrus notes, lemon zest and grass. Too pale lager-ish. Light and crisp body, easy drinking, average carbonation, bitter finish. Not memorable, but a fair summer drink.

This is just ok . Not bad not great. Something is missing . Had it in a bottle, maybe it is better from the keg ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amber golden, very creamy and lovely. Smooth cara and toast malts, pine hops. Smooth body. Touch sweet. Pretty nice, especially the aroma. (33cl bottle from market at Stinson Beach)

Aroma is slightly sweet. Taste is some sweetness mixed with some lightly bitter hops. Overall nothing special.

12floz bottle, $1.50, BBD 07.07.2017, pint glass. "Base camp..." is an apt description for this beer, it’s just simply well crafted without any pretense. Presents itself with light fruit, honey, and cereal grain aroma from a golden-copper body. Drinking wise, it flows easy with a lightly toasted flavor with a lightish-medium bodied palate. I can fall back to this beer anytime.

Originally rated on 1/9/09. A fairly decent pale ale by Deschutes, A amber body with a thin cap that left decent lace. Aroma was a little piney with some floral hints. Flavor was also of pine with malts balancing it out, slightly bitter finish at first but the taste buds adapted about half way though making the finish smooth. Overall a pretty decent beer.
