"not bad. a little light for my taste, but that is made up for by the incredible freshness of the beer. quite satisfying. it has a lighter hop profile than mirror pond, but equally as good."

On tap at the Bend brew pub. I found this to have an odd fruit tone along with a dank, musty flavor. It’s clearly a pale ale, but it;s grass and hay instead of citrus and pine. Not even remotely what I expected, and although I have yet to ride Phil’s trails (perhaps this Summer), I would have thought he would expect more. I would not drink this one again and find this sub-par for Deschutes. Nothing more than Mirror Pond, if that. BuckeyeBoy (8861) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 23, 2007

Tap @ Brewpub: Gold, nice head and lacing. Nose of husk and funky, musky malts. The flavor is musky, lightly bitter and grassy. The finish is thin, forgetful, light malt. Dry. Not as good as the Painted hills I had right before this one.

On Tap at the BrewPub. Oeange amber with a sandy head. Nice balance of rich malts and citrusy hops. Tazte is more bitter hops tham the otjer pale. Nice strong late nitter trail. Nice Pale. Deschutes shows guts having 2 PAs on at the same time.

Amber-tangerine orange color w. faded head. Bubble gum and pleasant floral hop bouquet with a moderate sweet malt background. Malty, bubble-gummy flavor with some floral character.
