Nice crystal hop aroma, bright & golden, great malty hoppy balance especially for a low alcohol beer. Light body with a nice biscuit finish. I will drink the heck out of this palatable session ale. adrianehendee (56) - - OCT 20, 2016
Had on tap at brew pub in Bend. Light but lots of flavor. Refreshing aftertaste. hopwine (670) - brooklynzzzzz, New York, USA - MAR 4, 2013
buttery, bready aroma. light citric/piney hop presence fades to soft honey/bready sweetness, followed by a lingering toasted graininess. Great to finally see such an excellent session beer available in 6 packs. SPDickerman (1239) - Texas, USA - MAY 12, 2015
Pours coppery orange with a small white head. Smells fruity, citrus, hints of caramel. Taste is bitter, citrusy, hints of pine. Medium-bodied with a wet texture and average mouth-carbonation, Deschutes River Ale finishes with a smooth, lingering bitterness. BrewMaster0912 (49) - Marysville, Ohio, USA - JUN 22, 2015
Pours a cloudy amber orange color with a light foamy head. The smell is a bit a wine smell but id have to say a floral hop scent. Taste is very smooth and very well blended with a soft carbonation and very little dry aftertaste. Very good beer, highly recommended, don’t pass it up.

Pours a warm golden yellow with a thick off whit head and very good lacing. Aroma is hoppy and buttery caramel. Taste is caramel sweet followed by a toasted note that transforms into a cleansing bitterness that allows for a dry refreshing finish. A case definitely. Possibly a sixtle.

Hops: Cascade, Crystal, Nugget.
Malt: Pale, Munich, Carapils, Crystal.
Best by date: 02.25.14.
Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tumbler on 01.20.14.
A: Nice lacing. Orange/yellow. Some opaqueness.
S: Orange, spice.
T: Flower, lemon, biscuit. Citrusy.
M: Crisp. Nicely carbonated.
O: This is super easy to drink and it has excellent balance. It’s much more complex than other blondes probably because it’s so hop forward. I liked it. ABBeerSnob (12) - - AUG 19, 2015
This is the Goldilocks of ales. It’s not too hoppy, not too malty, but just right. It’s increadibly drinkable and I am always amazed how quickly I finish the glass. teckdeck2008 (25) - Bryan, Texas, USA - JUL 6, 2013

Had a sample in a flight at Blue Palms. Solid, if unadventurous. Mild hops, very drinkable and refreshing.
