Tasted from a fancy brown glass 2L growler into a schooner glass. Thanks jcw0220! It poured a cloudy copper color with cream, long-lasting off-white foam and lace. Very strong earthy, spicy, grassy aroma, flowery and resiny hops, cool use of sage. Flavor was a deliciously dirty, bready, crusty, marshmallowy pils malt sweetness balanced by tangy hops and earthy sage again. Light-medium body, tart and refreshing. Unusual but well-balanced. A great beer. gregwilsonstl (2452) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - SEP 29, 2012

Lightly toasted pilsener malt body. Dry and biscuity with a light pear note. Some grassy character. Crisp and very refreshing. DYCSoccer17 (3691) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 25, 2010
5 ounce sample on tap at the Pub in Portland, OR. Aroma has some spicy hoppiness with a great deal of biscuity malt aromas, too. Light metallic undertones are also there. Transparent golden body with a scant white head. Starts with a nice spicy, grassy Noble hop goodness. Has a mild astringency in the middle. Finishes with some biscuit and light metallic hop notes. Not bad at all. Wish they bottled/canned this! mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 13, 2010
[2994-20100627] Tap. Sourdough bread aroma with a funky leaf and hint of vomit aroma. Clear, pale yellow body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Subtle sourdough infused yeast flavour with extra notes like sage or an odd wood. Light body. Odd.

2010-06-27. Crisp yellow body with a small white head. Odd flavour with a weird herbal/floral character, floral hops, moderate bitterness. Touch of feet/cheese in the aroma with floral hints of grass. Average palate. Huh, something odd going on here. Not for me. A solid little whaeaty pilsner.
The appearance is as beerish as you can get, golden in color, fizzy bubbles bubbling to a white fizzy head. The aroma wasn’t a lot to talk about, but I’d say it’s a little grassy/wheat-y which is what I’d say for the flavor as well.

Simple, mais efficace. troopie (2319) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - MAY 7, 2010
Draught. Poured clear gold with thin white head, Moderate lacing. Delicate grassy aroma. Full flavour with biscuity and rusky notes among the malt. Crisp clean hop finish. PilsnerPeter (3045) - Flushing, New York, USA - OCT 13, 2008
G.A.B.F. 2008: Pale golden with great clarity and a dense white head. The aroma is solid Pilsner malt/biscuity and crackery with mild zesty lemon. Crisp and light body. The flavor has a great balance of crackery malts, bread crust and hints of soft lemon peel. The finish is grassy and mildly bitter. Nice and dry, very drinkable. A solid session Pilsner.
