11th taster @ Stone Sour Fest 2008. Pours a dark, burnt orange with an off white head. Nose was of both sweet and sour citrus. Flavor was much of the same with a bit of saltiness?........Overall pretty damn good.

Cloudy orange/brown with elephant skin design froth. Aroma is certainly classy with notes of sour apricot. Flavors were an onslaught of sour but in a very unique rustic approach which tended to be fairly sweet at times but mostly balanced by the sourness There’s a nice solventy funk riding along at all times as well. I think I’m only slightly unsettled by the sweetness...but only slightly...in any event, its a nice funky, solvent-like example and certainly above the average.

Sampled at the Stone Sour Fest. Decent aromas of sour cherry and some other fruits. Plum and maybe some grape. Flavor fell off just a bit with a strange aftertaste, but I still really liked it.

Dark golden color that makes you think you have a Belgian dubbel in your glass. Then the sour hits. A little harsh. Could use more fruit.

On tap at Stone’s Sour Fest 2008. My last taster of the fest. I almost skipped this one. I heard from several people that the Deschute sours weren’t that good, then DarkElf said this was his favorite of the fest, so I thought I should try it. I think DarkElf was right. Reminiscent of Alpine Briscoe. Dark yellow color. Lots of acetic sourness. Leans sweet. Excellent. 4.3-4.4.
