COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a Super-Duper Jubelale! It is made with the same recipe as our beloved Jubel, but with an increased amount of everything to create even a stronger beer for the coldest part of the year. This year, we aged most of it on bourbon oak casks, and the rest we dry-hopped with lots of hops and spices. Served in a 10 oz. snifter. IBU’s 100

This is the catch-all entry for oak-aged Super Jubel. Jubel 2010 is aged in only pinot noir barrels.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a slightly hazy dark caramelish orange with off-white lacing. Smells malty with notes of plum, raisin, toffee, and oak. Tastes like it smells with a mildly tart and somewhat boozy full-bodied mouthfeel. Some hops on the tongue as well. Solid.

IndianaRed (4862) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAR 31, 2017
On Tap Murky medium brown. Caramel malty aromas. Toasted malt flavors, with lots of barley wine maltiness and pitted fruit flavors. Smooth slick body. A little woody tanin character and a late slow ABV burn. Smooth and strong. Mellow. Tasty.

Brownish with white head. Boozy brown sugar aroma. Sweet tangy earthy and spicy. Had this poured from draft 10oz, at JP Burke's Tap Takeover.

tmoreau (4513) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - DEC 3, 2016
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., dispensed to a snifter displaying an amber highlighted, darkest brown hue, with a presentable layer of off white froth, and doily-like lacing. The nose was malty, light cocoa & spice, sweetness, caramel & toffee, with an inkling of alcohol. Medium+ bodied, with fair carbonation, the taste was somewhat similar notes, including a steady, earthy & lightly tannic astringency, lingering, bourbony booze, added brown sugar nature to the sweetness, syrupy & sticky mouthfeel, and texture that started to thin just a bit. Nice, warming sipper.

On tap at Map Room. Pours Medium brown with a thick creamy beige head and a spicy oak aroma. There is a hearty smoked malt and molasses flavor that starts sweet then becomes more bitter and oaky. Nice warm bourbon trail.

At least as awesome as Jubel 2010, the red wine version of this that got bottled. The Super J I had was not just bourbon but a blend of that, oaked, and the pinot, and it was faaantastic! wonderfully sweet yet balanced. Great body.
