4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 oz bottle, 2012 version, poured into a tulip @ Uber. Pours reddish amber with very thin off-white head. Aroma is sour with a strong cherry undertone. Taste is rich, tart cherries. Opens up as it warms, rolls into vinous raspberry and oak. Tart, but moderate sourness. Bottle says best after 8/20/13. Clearly needs some more time to age, but I couldn’t help myself. Will revisit in a couple of years. Deschutes clearly knows how to do sours, would love to see them expand their offerings here rather than 1 every couple years.
I did not believe there are cherries. But there are. Super acidic one. Not a noble brew zizzybalubba (1891) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - JAN 14, 2018
22 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Raleigh (North Hills). 2017 bottle listed as 10.5% ABV, bottled on August 28, 2017. Dark orange pour with a quick off-white head. Aroma of apple cider vinegar and tart lemons. Taste is tart cherries but well rounded with a solid oak presence that gives the beer an almost whiskey-like taste. A solid sour ale. rami_pl (4793) - Warszawa, POLAND - JAN 14, 2018

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2018 Bottle shared. Reddish brown pour. Aroma is cherries, lots of wine barrel. Taste similar, not really tart, lots of wood and wine in this. Very complex and good. dalekliz (927) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 25, 2017
2016 bottle. Pours a murky reddish brown with a bubbly white ring that fades. Tart cherry aroma, with sugar, oak, vanilla, grapes, malt, and yeast. Taste is tart and sweet, lots of cherry and vanilla, oak and malt, with sparkly yeast. Lingering tart cherry-wood notes. I was the only one in my family who liked it but I think it's great!

Thanks Yetsko for bringing me a vintage 12 bottle! Nice mellowed sour brown. Lots of dark fruit, slight vinegary tartness, still very rich tasting sour. Love the bottle donandres (687) - Makati, PHILIPPINES - NOV 13, 2017
