A lighter, yet full-flavored, aromatic Ale for the long days of summer. Twilight’s solid malt foundation pairs with distinctive Amarillo hops for flavors every bit as intriguing as bigger, heavier ales. A back porch, lingering sunset wonder.

Draught @ Churchill’s Pub & Grille, San Marcos, CA. Pours a golden colour with a small foamy head. Aroma of grains, wet earth and some sweetness. Flavour of sweet malts, caramel, mild bitterness and harsh graininess. Light bodied. Sweet and almost bulky. Old? I don’t know, but feels useless.

Tap @ Churchill’s Pub & Grille, San Marcos.
Pours golden color with a small head. Hay on the nose, faint hips, pale malts and fruity notes. The doable had hay, yeast, orange and pale malts. Really boring.

Clear amber with two fingers of long lasting head. Mostly smell the hops with light citrus and spruce. Grassy, light citrus, and piney taste. A bit too hoppy for me as a summer ale.

Hazy orange pour, see off white head. Nose is citrus. Bitter. Middle is grapefruit & tangerine on a bed of medium roasted malt. Finish is crisp and fairly short.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2015 12oz bottle, poured into a tulip. The aroma of the big, white puffy and sudsy head is initially damp and musty, but this fades and turns to a floral spruce and orange/mango blend with a slight hint of cat pee late buried in there. The beer is clear and oily looking with a caramel gold hue and a light effervescence. The head retains a moderate amount and it leaves behind a good amount of messy lace. The taste is a muted, medium bitter medium and light sweet. The beer is slick and thin with a medium light body and a moderate, soft fuzz. The flavor profile is lighty soapy with mellow notes of caramel, a light roast character, oranges, and pastry dough, with some tropical notes late. It finishes with a clean spruce and citrus combination and an aftertaste of bread crust and muted, bitter citrus that’s slightly cloying and strong at first, but fairly short lasting.

Bottle from Wine Merchant Findlay. Pours a mostly clear orange with a white head. Nose is orange, light citrus, and a mild grassy note. Flavor is similar orange and a grassy hops with some caramel and malt. Light to medium in body and a nice pale ale overall.

A beautiful and inviting summer citrus, yeast, hoppy smell. Taste is light citrus to start and ends a little dry, slightly bitter. Heavier than it looks but still light and enjoyable for summer.
