COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The brewers took a normal German Pilsner and gave it a little more fortitude. We increased the alcohol content by a percent and gave it more bitterness. This all German pilsner malt brew acquires its bitterness from German Northern Brewer and Hallertau hops. If you were looking for a beer that is easy drinking but assertive, this beer is for you. On tap at Deschutes in Portland, OR--Clear, murky, golden-straw body. Next to no head. Spicy, piquant, mildly boozy, appley, sweet, cider, white wine-like. Bright, carbonic, spicy mouthfeel. Finishes peppery, sharp, bitter, crisp. Too boozy for my liking. Sweet and full of the Hallertau.
