Unique herbal/leafy hop character. Balanced with some sweet malt flavor. Maybe a little astringent? (7/5/7/4/15)
Poured up on tap at the Desert Edge with brilliantly clear copper body and long lasting tan head. The aroma has spicy hops, roasted malts, nuttiness and some bready notes too. The taste has a nice mix of roasted malts, nuttiness, bread and a bit of biscuit malts. Also behind the various malt notes is a consistent stream of spicy and earthy hops. Nice amber. On tap at Desert Edge brewpub douglas88 (9187) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 3, 2008
Appearance: Clear light golden with a medium sized white head and spotty lacing
Aroma: Pale malts, fruity, lemon and bisquity
Taste: Malts, grassy, herbal with a light bitter finish
Nice and easy drinking.
On tap at the brewpub. This beer was made with only locally grown ingredients, which is pretty cool. Pours a light golden color with a medium white head. The aroma is full of malts, some grain and honey. The flavor is very full yet mild; a bunch of oats and grainy flavors, especially in the finish, some light citrus and malts. Overall, kinda like a breakfast beer for me, very nice and pretty mild. An enjoyable addition to the kick ass lineup of the Desert Edge.
