Poured up on tap at the Desert Edge with clear copper body and white head. The aroma offers up a bit of roasted malts and a good dose of pine hops. The taste is pretty roasty with malts for the style but is balanced by bitter citrus hops and pine hop resin as well as a touch of caramel. Full bold flavored brew for the style. hellbilly (3306) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - JAN 16, 2011
on tap 7/22/10.
orange tinted gold with a white head.
pnw hops are all over the nose...pale caramel maltiness, pine, citrus, earth and spice.
the flavor is the same... lots of pine-tastic hops but not overly piney. lots of citrus and malt yet it is dry and spicy.
crisp mouth feel and prickly carbonation. 6/3/6/4/14/3.3 omhper (25953) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 26, 2010
Cask at the brewpub. Almost clear brownish amber, small head. Resiny from nose to finish. Some caramel and grapefruit, light-medum bodied with clean, rounded mouthfeeel. Notes of chlorine in a resiny finish. oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - APR 5, 2010
Pours a nice orangish color. Aroma is floral hops, some caramel, and a hint of vegtables. Flavor of a classic pale, nice hop flavor. Sledutah (7978) - Utah, USA - JAN 25, 2010

Appearance: Slightly hazy amber with a white head and some lacing
Aroma: Citrus, pine
Taste: Pine, sweet malts, citrus
A good beer, one of my favorites from Desert Edge.
Just came across these notes from last winter (draft at brewery): Cloudy. Rusty orange hue. Fluffy head with nice lace. Crisp and light on the tongue. Doughy, cakey, earthy malts with a burnt edge. Citrusy (orange and sugared lemon). Fair amount of bitterness, especially in the finish. A little rough around the edges, but definitely one of the best I had at Desert Edge. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - JUL 9, 2009
On tap a few weeks back in SLC (bayou). Color was an orange-amber with an off white head. Aroma was earthy and yeasty, with a good dash of caramel and bread. Flavor was similar, and very nice as well for the style. Earthy, bready and yeasty. A bit dry. Solid beer. brianprentiss (703) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 9, 2008

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2008 On tap at the Bayou. Pours a light gold with a decent white head. The aroma is strong hops-grapefruit and pine. The taste is mostly a nice bitter hops and a citrus element. Unbalanced, thin, and too weak. But overall, pretty darn good. One of Utah’s better beers. hairwolf (1) - Honolulu, Hawaii, USA - OCT 12, 2007 does not count
I lived off this beer for 3 years. I love it! It’s really hoppy like an IPA. Goes down easy,,,,,real easy.
