Nitro draft to taster at the Champaign brewpub. Looks good; settles into a transparent pale burnt orange with creamy cream head. Smells of a pleasant balance of floral hops, Belgian yeast, and related fruity esters. Tastes like it smells with a fairly smooth medium full-bodied mouthfeel that finishes with a touch of bitterness. A touch warming, but pleasantly so. Good beer. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - FEB 26, 2015
[Tap] Golden pour with a soapy white head. Notes of yeasty spice, citrus, floral hops and grain in the nose. Flavors of resinous hops, citrus peel, tropical notes, clove and sweet Belgian yeast esters. Quite bitter. Sticky finish. Pretty decent. Tasting notes from 9/2014. mages64 (72) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 2, 2015
Big esters and sweet malt balance with a subtle bitterness. Easy drinking and pleasant! Definitely will include in my rotating growler pick ups. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JAN 17, 2015
Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy orange-yellow pour with white head, aroma brought notes of white fruit, caramel, some biscuit into some grass, pine, nice orange notes with a hint of coriander in there. Taste is a mix of coriander, grapefruit, orange into some biscuit, bread, some slight earth, touch of grass, finishing bitter. keepersj12 (3137) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - DEC 24, 2014
Kind of a hopped up belgian ale with a bit of spice and a little funkiness to it. Very bitter and quite dry. Very well done.

A very nice Belgian style double IPA is more American than anything else. A few tweaks could improve it greatly. Even so the half pint was not very tough to finish. Your typical regional draft, this is the sort of thing that keeps locals coming back instead of drinking elsewhere.
Aroma / Appearance - A warm bronze base sits idly with a clean vanilla head mated to it. Traces of carbonation pop from time to time. The scent of a muddy garden just before sunrise wafts lazily into the air. A balanced bitterness permeates to the core of the aroma and binds everything together.
Flavor / Palate - Citrus, lemongrass, and spiciness have a slight delayed impact. The bitterness is more American style IPA than Belgian yeast. A smooth transition helps the flavors swell before the intensity crests after a few sips. More like an IPA brewed with a pinch of white pepper, the result is still easy to drink.
On tap @ Destihl. Clear orange beer with a white head. Really nice fruity hop character to the nose. Big time grapefruit, orange, and apricot. Light white pepper and pine. Moderate maltiness. Good bitterness to the flavor. Plenty of pine and grapefruit. Some sweet orange, peach, and apricots. Decently spicy with white pepper and coriander. Some sweet bready malt. Nice beer. deyholla (12033) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 19, 2014
Sampled from the tap at the Normal brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a gold hue and an off white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has some light fruits and citrus with some underlying grapefruit and earthy grains. Flavor has earthy citrus and grass with a touch of a bread backbone. On tap @ the brewpub in Champaign. Clear, bright brassy body. Candied ginger, light yeast, sweet biscuit malts, medium bitterness. A bit unusual, but enjoyable.
