Amra, Sanskrit for mango, begins with a very pale West Coast-style IPA devoid of caramel malt character to allow the fruity aromas and flavors of Simcoe & Glacier hops to take center stage and meld perfectly with unreasonable amounts of mangos added to this fruit beer with attitude.

Admin Note: Formerly known as "Matt and the Giant Juicy Mango" and "Juicy Juicy Mango"

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Andover Liquors. Appearance is hazy yellow-orange with light sparkle, finger-width foamy off-white head with decent retention and fair, soapy lacing. Aroma is mango, citrus, resin, with nice malt backbone. Taste is mildly bitter dank, earthy resin, light sweet citrus and mango, grains. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, average carbonation and bittersweet fairly dry finish. Overall, I'm glad this wasn't an over-the-top, cloyingly sweet abomination but would have expected (and hoped!) this would be sweeter/less bitter than it was.

12floz can, COD: 06.01.2018, $1.75 unit cost, nonic glass. This is a golden yellow IPA with a retentive two finger head. It undoubtedly smells like mango. The palate could use some more caramel malt character as it is sharp with mango and citrus notes. I'd say this is a fruity IPA, but not a juicy IPA. If that makes any sense. It does to me, so that is all that matters. Alright beer.

Can. Translucent orange-gold pour with a 2 inch white head that dissipates quickly. Decent lacing. Nose is fruity and floral hops with a little mango. Mouthfeel is medium with sharp carbonation. Taste is piney hop, faint crackery malt, a little tropical fruit, fruity esters, alcohol. Finish is a little bitter.

can. deep golden orange with one finger head. light to medium body, some very light mango, citrus hops with some tropical notes as well. the mango is rather understated for a beer that bills itself as a mango beer. doesn't do much for me.

williamstome (2062) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 2, 2017
Gold pour, foamy white head. Tropical aroma. Light tropical flavor. Decent if weak.

Backlong entry. This beer is close to style with typical flavors. Well rounded and clean. Nothing too outstanding or unusual.

HuskerTan (2470) - Ravenna, Nebraska, USA - SEP 23, 2017

Tons of mango. Also, mango. Some pine and light bitterness in there too but. Did I mention the mango?

12oz can from Three Cellars in the Falls. Standard IPA pour. Mango, citrus, light sweet malts. Somewhat tangy bittersweet. Solid. Fairly mango-ish, which is unusual. 13.5

Sampled from the tap at Happy Gnome. Pours a clear yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of grass and earthy tropical fruits with some mango and a grain backbone. Flavor has earthy citrus and grass with some sweet mango growing through the finish.
