Draft to taster at the Champaign brewpub. Looks solid; a cloudy amberish brown with very thin very light beige head that steadily dissipates into thin lacing. Smells of wheat, chocolate, and mild banana. Tastes like it smells with a somewhat bittersweet medium light-bodied mouthfeel. A bit of toast as well. Okay. nuplastikk (6313) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 27, 2012
On tap at DeStihl. Chunky brown amber, thick beige head. Smooth and true to style, creamy, thick yeast tones. Quite well done, very refreshing. Medium bodied, well balanced, a nice beer, but not quite World Class. DuffMan (10456) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - APR 27, 2012
On tap @ the brewpub in Champaign. Deep golden syrup amber colour, very thin head that vanishes within minutes. Nice estery banana and caramel aroma and flavour. Simple, but true to style and tasty. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - OCT 30, 2011
Sampled on tap at the brewpub (Normal, IL). Pours a nice roasty brown hue, just a touch of haze with the glow on the edges. A frothy offwhite head sits atop with decent lacing. Very nice color. Aromas are touches of toast and flaked wheat, some light banana esters mixes with sweeter caramel, toast and dryness. Initial is a little lighter than medium bodied, preaching a gentle toast and light estery banana. Touches of toast and carmelized sugars dance into the finish, drying out with dry toast, some touches of estery banana. Pretty good, a bit understated flavorwise, drying out into the finish. Flavors a bit muted, but pretty drinkable. chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 21, 2011
draft... murky brown beer with a light tan head, good retention... not really sure what’s going on with this beer, but wasn’t a fan

Draught at the Normal location. Pours cloudy brown with small off white head. The aroma is bready with some pumperknickel and clove, a hint of raisin, and some brown sugar notes. Flavor is bready and a little acidic with some toast and cookie notes, some faint clove. The finish is biscuity with a slight tartness. Nice. jcwattsrugger (12471) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - AUG 8, 2010
on tap-pours a tan head and brown color. Aroma is medium/dark malt-caramel/chocolate. Taste is medium/dark malt/wheat-caramel/chocolate, some fruit, some earthy hops. Easy. NobleSquirrel (3438) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 10, 2010
Draft at DeStihl. Pours a very turbid brown. Looks just wrong. Nose is faintly weizen yeast and grain. On taste, cardboard, tin & raw grain. Not good, not good at all. TheEnemy (564) - Chicago, USA - MAR 6, 2010

Now called "Drunken Weasel," which by the way would make a great name for a rock band (apologies to Dave Barry).
Pours a murky mahogany with creamy tan head that coats the glass with lace. Aroma is dry, toasty-grain, clove, molasses, a little bit of banana. Flavor was drier than expected; not much of the molasses in the aroma showed up. The clove did though, as did a touch of licorice and a small dose of yeasty tartness. Mostly just yeasty, dark dry bread. Coats the throat as it goes down. As dunkelweizens go, I’ve had worse but I’ve also had plenty better.
Nose was strong of coffee and sweet munich, with a presence of wheat. Was very cloudy in the glass, also hazed. Taste was malty, but not sweet. Mouth was coating and full, but seemed disconnected from the flavour (much more body in the mouth than in the taste).
