COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An Our mission for this Imperial or Double India Pale Ale is to overload the beer with hops for an intense hop bitterness, flavor and aroma while still being balanced by a big malt profile, resulting in a hoppy beer with more dimension. This beer is light copper in color with some hop haze from overloading with dry hops as well. World Beer Championships Award: Bronze Medal 2011

From a 12 oz. can it is a clear golden color with an off white head. The aroma is citrus and the taste is strong and bitter with pineapple hints and has a bitter finish

Hazy amber pour, fluffy off-white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, lemon. Flavor is as expected with some hops at the front and a bit of bitterness at the back. Not as hoppy as I was expecting.

Can:   Darker amber, moderate to large foamy off-white head, fairly nice lacing.   Bright piney nose, surprisingly a little charred wood or faint campfire smoke.   Weird start, a bit of a plastic like taste.   Its faint, but its there.   Moderately bitter, a little sweet, but has that odd plastic background, a little burnt plastic even.   Its minor, but it cannot be avoided.   Yeah... enough of this one...

Deep reddish copper poured from the can. There is a fluffy khaki head. Nose of pine and a little soap. Hints of walnuts are present. Flavors of sweet caramel and some pine resin. There is walnut and raw dough in the finish. A decent brew that is more like an American Strong Ale than a IIPA.

Can poured into pilsner glass. Pours a clear deep amber copper with a two finger beige head. Smells heavy malt, really malty, some apple with a hint of catpiss. Tastes very malt heavy but the hops are there, they are just hidden under this mountain of malt. Its the aftertaste thats truly exceptional on this one, perhaps the best Ive experienced. Story has a happy ending.

hotstuff (4902) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - APR 1, 2016
Rated on 4-01-2016. The appearance of this canned beer is a medium sized beige head that is mostly lasting, transparent dark amber body, lively, fast rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is citrus hops, grapefruit, earthy, and caramel malt. The flavor presents medium-heavy bitterness, citrus hops, toasty, caramel malt, sweet, and a semi-dry finish. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and this beer is medium-full bodied. A very quaffable sipping beer with a lingering hoppy aftertaste that tasted good on behalf of another frustrating day.

DATE YOUR BLEEPING PRODUCT! May have been good at one point, but caramel and cardboard malt with hints of what might have been does not a good IIPA make. Of all the damn rules surrounding beer, why is dating not mandated?
