COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An Our mission for this Imperial or ’Double’ India Pale Ale is to overload the beer with hops for an intense hop bitterness, flavor and aroma while still being balanced by a big malt profile, resulting in a hoppy beer with more dimension. This beer is light copper in color with some hop haze from overloading with dry hops as well. World Beer Championships Award: Bronze Medal 2011

Still finishing my notes from the 2011 MWBF. Not a big, hoppy smell to it. I get a little citrus and pine. Nice, thick malty taste to it. Very orangey amber color and some lacy foam in the glass.

Sample at Hoof Hearted during the "Tickling South - Dual Can Release" on 04/09/2017. Clear dark amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to a film. Partial rings of lace. Aroma of pine, hops and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of resiny hops, fruit and grainy malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a piney hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Hazy amber pour, fluffy off-white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, lemon. Flavor is as expected with some hops at the front and a bit of bitterness at the back. Not as hoppy as I was expecting.

Can:   Darker amber, moderate to large foamy off-white head, fairly nice lacing.   Bright piney nose, surprisingly a little charred wood or faint campfire smoke.   Weird start, a bit of a plastic like taste.   Its faint, but its there.   Moderately bitter, a little sweet, but has that odd plastic background, a little burnt plastic even.   Its minor, but it cannot be avoided.   Yeah... enough of this one...

Can. Pretty ho hum as ipa’s go. Not bad by any means, just lacked any major punch. Solid beer

Brownish red color with a beige head. Aroma contains some citrus, caramel, and booze. The flavor is maltier than expected. Overall it’s pretty good.
