3.5yr version on tap at GABF. Pours with a hazed copper to golden hued body with a minimal white head. Aromas are of vanillin, wood, oak, tart, cherries, musty funky and very acidic with only a mild acetic bite. Flavors are super acidic, bright cherries, wood, dry and acidic. Lovely!
A superb framboise. Deep red beer with slick mouthfeel and a nicely tart flavor. Raspberry sweet, but not too sweet. A star of the show at Omaha’s Extreme Beerfest with Jess and the parents in 2017. zoucrew102 (1880) - - OCT 30, 2016
500ml bottle. Tart raspberry aroma with notes of yeast funk, red wine and oak. Pours ruby-amber colored with a thin but retentive off white head that also has excellent lacing. Starts with tart raspberry flavors with a little bit of funk from the yeast. Finishes quite tart and dry but smooth with nice red wine tannins as well as a bit of oak. GABF 2016. Appears hazy amber/rose with a small head and light lace. Aromas of raspberry and oak. Hints of pepper, wheat bread. Taste has an intense sour note upfront with a load of raspberry tartness to compliment. Some pepper spice couples with the yeast/funk to provide a bloody mary-like note in the mid-palate. Draft. Light peach with no head. Strong aroma of tartness with some berry fruit notes. Light body with intense tartness upfront and throughout, some sweetness and yeast funk, and a hint of raspberry. The tartness is a bit over the top but otherwise good.

GABF 2012. Tried this baby a few times over two nights. Pours a hazy reddish appearance with an off white head. Big raspberry, a bit seedy, vanilla, like oaky, vinous nose. Super tart, raspberry, red vinous, funky, quite sour flavor. Very nice stuff.
