COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our seasonal Pumpkin Porter is made by using over 200 pounds of pumpkins. The beer is black in color with a slight dark-reddish tint. Cinnamon, coriander, allspice, ginger root and nutmeg combine for a beer you only wish your grandma could make. World Beer Championships Award: Gold Medal 2011 and ’Best of 2011’ in ’All About Beer’ magazine.

On tap at 109 Brews. It poured a brown color with a tan head. The aroma was of cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, roast, chocolate and spices. The taste was similar to the aroma with more cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, roast and pumpkin with a nice dry aftertaste. Really tasty.

On tap at CBF. Nice, light brown head. Mostly clear dark brown color. Decent lace. Aroma is very veggie-like, not as rich, roasty, or sweet as I expected. Satisfying pumpkin aroma, though. Good, light carbonation. Dry finish. Light smokiness. Bitter taste,

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish black pour with off white head,aroma brought roast, coffee, cinnamon, some yeast into a bit of pumpkin, slight cocoa as well. Taste is a mix of cocoa, roast, some spice with cinnamon, nutmeg, hints of earth, finishing sweet, spicy.

draft... medium brown, a little watery and not much head... smells great, lots of pumpkin with chocolate and roast, finish of cinnamon... tastes good as well, too much spice for me to love it, but this is a good one

Sampled on tap at the brewpub (Normal, IL). Pours a nice roasty rich brownish hue, some good haze, with frothy tannish head that dies to a good film, laces ok. Aromas are mellow pumpkin spice, cocoa, and cinnamon. Some vanilla, more cocoa, gentle toast and sweet caramel. Lighter on sweetness than anticipated. Initial is medium bodied, offering a decent pumpkin essence, some carmelized sugar and toast, gentle pumpkin pie spices show some cinnamon, nutmeg, and caramel. Middle is spicy, with some more pumpkin, actual pumpkin (not the spices), with some gentle cocoa, mellow spice, dries a bit more into the finish. Pretty nice, lighter bodied, more of a darker pumpkin beer with some dancing crisp toffee and dry cocoa. Pretty nice beer here.

Sampled at Adam’s fine wedding. Sweet smoky pumpkin filling aroma. Some of those pumpkin spices in the flavor. Light roasted tartness that’s odd. A little acidic. Harsh. The flavors don’t match the aroma. Ok. 7/3/7/3/15

On tap at the Chicago Beer Fest ’12. Pours a black body with a finger-width, dense and creamy, brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is nice with a good amount pumpkin, chocolate, roasts, and a light spicing. Touches of vanilla in there as well. Flavor is similar. Roasts stand out a little more with all the pumpkin, rich chocolates, and light spicing. Finishes dry with some roasts and a light bitterness as well as some pumpkin and chocolate. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium-light, smooth body and a creamy, medium-light carbonation. Overall, a pretty well balanced and tasty Pumpkin Porter. A tad thin, but enjoyable nonetheless.

[Tap] Sampled at the brewpub. Opaque black pour with a light brown colored head. Hearty aroma of pumpkin pie spices, syrupy molasses and heavy ginger. Taste has a more mellowed spice profile, with dark and roasty malts becoming more upfront. Lingering chocolate and licorice notes mix with ginger. Nice complexity. Tasting notes from 11/2011.

Tap. Very dark brown hue with a tan head. Slightly burnt pumpkin nose. Dark roast gourd and light spice flavor plus a char hint. Full-body.
