Sampled at Adams fine wedding. Sweet smoky pumpkin filling aroma. Some of those pumpkin spices in the flavor. Light roasted tartness thats odd. A little acidic. Harsh. The flavors dont match the aroma. Ok. 7/3/7/3/15

On tap at 109 Brews. It poured a brown color with a tan head. The aroma was of cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, roast, chocolate and spices. The taste was similar to the aroma with more cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, roast and pumpkin with a nice dry aftertaste. Really tasty.

Draft at Baileys Range in St Louis. Clear bronze color with a small khaki head. Aroma is faintly sweet. The flavor is floral perfume with a little allspice and vegetal pumpkin. Light bitterness from dark, dusty chocolate in the finish. Fine.

Such a solid brew...and absolutely love the name! Have appreciated horror movies for some time now and Halloween has always been a focus. Dark, complex, and aggressive with cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin meat, brown sugar, and caramel are all there. Super knotty and tasty! Get it if its available!

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2015 On tap at El Azteca restaurant. Poured a small brown head of fine to medium sized long lasting bubbles. The aroma contained notes of brown malt and mild spices. The body was an opaque brown and had a fair lacing. The flavor contained notes of mild vinous weak brown malt, licorice and spices. Overall it is a decent pumpkin ale that is slightly different from the norm.

[Tap] Sampled at the brewpub. Opaque black pour with a light brown colored head. Hearty aroma of pumpkin pie spices, syrupy molasses and heavy ginger. Taste has a more mellowed spice profile, with dark and roasty malts becoming more upfront. Lingering chocolate and licorice notes mix with ginger. Nice complexity. Tasting notes from 11/2011.

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2016 At Bangers and Lace. I kind of liked it although the flavors and aromas were all over the place. I almost missed the pumpkin and spices. Thin palate. Serving: Tap
