500ml bottle. Belgian yeast aroma with notes of banana and spicy clove. Pours clear golden colored with a thin off white head with good retention and lacing. Starts with a good banana sweetness to it like tripel should. Finishes dry with spicy clove combining with a bit of hops and faint traces of booze that linger on the palate. Pretty good tripel.

Bottle served in a glass, this ale was a medium gold (it looked like honey) in the glass with some orange hues, a little haze, there was a white and faint off-white cover, it left nice spots and fingers of lacing on the glass, it had aromas of cake, bread, pear, faint orange and/or blood orange, yeast, some floral notes, pineapple and pepper spice notes, sugar, fruit sweetness with some malt sweetness, the flavors were pear and blood orange, bread malt, sour fruit, some malt and fruit sweetness, some spice bite at the finish, light fruit follows, the mouth feel was towards the medium full side, there was average carbonation, carbonation was soft for a tripel ale, more carbonation would help, the nose was sweeter than the flavor, I found the blood orange note a little interesting, this beer comes off as a sour fruit drink, it was not a bad beer but this drink does not resemble a Tripel ale, the carbonation was softer than it should have been, it had a pronounced sour fruit note which I found to be odd for a Tripel beer, the alcohol was hidden for a 11% alc. beer, this drink was ok.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8069) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 29, 2017
Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a honey gold color with a medium sized foamy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tangy and boozy with golden fruit. The flavor was tangy and very boozy with golden fruit, tropical fruit and sugar. Long finish. Full bodied. Booziness overwhelms. Solid

Rich amber color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of yeast, clove/spice, floral, & fruit; Flavor of sweet malt, yeast, bananas, clove, floral hops, and fruit/citrus; Dry tangy finish; A little over the top for me - but interesting.

Not bad but where’s the Belgian yeast and complexity? Sweet fruit, bready malt.

Aroma - tropical fruit, pungent hops, and alcohol Appearance - cloudy orange peel colored body. The head is white and about 1/3". Settles to a film. Taste - tropical fruits (esp. pineapple, banana and orange). There is a healthy dose of pungent hops. There is good alcohol as well. There is also classic spices for this style. Coriander, especially. Palate - light body, oily feel, average carbonation, astringent mix of hops and alcohol.

superspak (5894) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - DEC 1, 2015
500 ml bottle into chalice, bottled on 3/5/2015. Pours slightly hazy orange/amber color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, pepper, clove, light banana, honey, candi sugar, biscuit, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big lemon, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, pepper, clove, light banana, honey, candi sugar, biscuit, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of pepper/clove yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, pepper, clove, honey, biscuit, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Fair amount of dryness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and slightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an awesome tripel! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast and moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to sip on for the huge ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

hotstuff (5233) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 26, 2015
Rated on 7-13-2015 (Bottle) The appearance is a medium sized creamy, smooth of-white head that mostly diminished, transparent gold body fizzy, lively, fast rising carbonation, and one ring of lacing. The aroma of this beer is malt, hops, fruity, and spicy. The flavor is sweet, malt, fruity, and spicy. The mouthfeel is light carbonation and this beer is light-medium bodied. A quaffable beer that has a moderate amount of sweetness and it is light on flavor for the style.

500ml bottle. This one seemed a bit infected or sour, picture a pretty poor rendition of a tripel with a bit of tartness.
