On tap @ Destihl. Pours a hazy orange color with a white head. Nice banana, bubblegum, and bread aroma. Hints of orange and clove. A little doughy. Bready malt up front on the flavor. Moderate banana and bubblegum ester. Mild to moderate clove spiciness. Very mild orange zest. Sweet biscuit and dough on the finish. Quite pleasant. rxeight (3344) - Illinois, USA - MAY 22, 2014
Large growler, from the tap room. Standard hefe taste, just not a lot of it. You know it’s nothing special when the good reverend Korczak dumps half a growler. edgallow (4689) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 14, 2014

Stopping in for a break on the way to the Great Taste of the Midwest I was a bit overwhelmed by the number of choices. Eventually I settled on a couple of lighter beers before getting back on the road. This is a decent hefeweizen overall and something I would definitely not turn down if offered.
Aroma / Appearance - The cloudy base has an orange and bronze blend. Wisps of white head fall quickly into the fluid body. Grapefruit, bananas, wheat, and nutty undertones put this in the middle of the road for the style.
Flavor / Palate - A mild tang of lemon zest starts off the experience with a zing. Orange peels, bananas, and wheat bread are sweet on the tongue. Finally a finish of watered down Orangina wraps up an enjoyable beer that shows Destihl can do more than just sours.
Sampled at Destihl. It poured a cloudy golden color with a white head. The aroma was of banana and clove with some spice and wheat as well. The taste was more wheat with the clove and spice growing towards the finish. Not bad.

Dry yeast aroma.
Greyish yellow, low lace.
Dry spicy yeast, almost franconian weizen. Fairly light body, lacks chewyness. Ok spicy finish.

This bottled brew from rbsg #19 poured a very small sized head of frothy medium sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a hazy dark orange colored body and a poor lacing. The aroma was citrus malty and banana. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of mild hops citrus and malt liquor. A decent one that I would consider drinking again. tmoreau (4818) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - SEP 18, 2012
On tap at the Normal, IL. location, and served to a 12 oz. tulip showing a cloudy, orange/golden hue, a modest, soft white, bubbly head that diminished rather quickly to a ring & film, and left some spotty lacing on the glass. The nose was banana over fruit & citrus, with light sweetness, soft grain, and a touch of clove. The flavor was similar, with a bit of tartness, but soft carbonation, and a light to medium body. A tasty, standard Hefe. jcr (2808) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - SEP 8, 2012
Draft. Cloudy gold body with a fizzy, white head. Aroma of clove, fingernail polish, husky grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Tart finish, almost sour. Medium body, creamy texture, moderate carbonation. Slightly hot, alcoholic. And then there’s that chemical, solvent aftertaste. Where’s the banana? Bubble gum? nuplastikk (6635) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 27, 2012
On tap at DeStihl. Murky greyed orange-tan. Thick white head. The bigger ABV enticed me to get a 12oz...they said it was 6.9%..Creamy, this is like a good strong Cream Ale, lots of vanilla, more so than banana. Not true to style, but drinkable. Sweet and sugary, not so impressive after a few sips.
