Taste is very sweet, dark malts, masses of sugar, dark dried fruits, coffee, ashtray, even more sugar, caramel, coffee, licorice, almonds, hints og citrus peel and nice warming alcohol, and did I mention lots of sugar?! UPDATED: MAY 5, 2013 Hard to be objective, I love this beer. Bought bottle from Barleywine CPH, 2012. Intense Imperial stout, chocolate, caramel, molasses, dark fruits, rich and thick. In it’s richness and intensity, it reminds me of Dark Lord. I wish I had another bottle.

Opaque black - brown beer. Small dark tan head. Smooth palate with some presence. Very moderate carbonation but what there is is sharp. Silky dark malt with coffee bitterness and dryness. A little brandy and unsweet chocolate. Smooth semi dry finish. A rich brew but possibly should have a left if for awhile.

VsXsV (4572) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 10, 2013
Bottle. Opaque black liquid with small tan head. Aroma of licorice, chocolate, wood, raw sugar, raisins and cognac. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with notes of raw sugar, raisins, chocolate and wood. Full bodied with low carbonation and very viscous mouthfeel. Nice.
