Black as the deepest dungeon, and a fine beige head. Good lacing also. Good intensity in the aroma. Full body and a smooth fine carbonation level. Sweet, but not cloying. Raisin syrup oh yeah. Lots of raisin in the flavor. Also fruity, chocolate, wood and some vinous notes. Warming alcohol, but well masked.

Great, nice balance between sweet malty, dried fruits, bitter roast and light saltiness.

Brown dense choco head. Black body. Nose is milk chocolate and dark caramel, with a nice frutiness to it. Big body. Smooth with a soft prickling carbonation. Taste has a rounded caramelly sweetness, with some tinned fruit tones added, a subtle roastiness, and light acidity underneath. Alcohol well hidden. Mouth-warming finish. Good, indeed. Taste bonanza. Tickles the nose. Jet black, bitter roasted and then that sweet fruit from the raisins. Like a liquid Christmas pudding with added cognac and a vegemite centre. Lovely alcohol burns and warms the chest. A feast. Oh, it poured rather lively. Lucky I had a big glass.
