Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Almost opaque brown beer, little pale cream coloured head. Light smooth palate, a little soft and dry. Sweet rich malt - soft and streaked with toffee. Sweet whisky! A touch of floral candy sweets. Finishes semi dry and smooth with all flavours coming together well. This will be too sweet for most, but I liked it! Although it is boozy it is nit 16% boozy.
Bottle shared at Bruce’s pad, big thanks to Ken for the biggest beast of the night, 31/07/13.

Nose is candied sugars, dark fruit, booze, dates, stewed prunes.

2010 bottle, thanks to Kenny. It pours cloudy deep red-brown with a small yellow-white head. The nose is light toast, caramel, toffee, prune, date, vinous, varnish, wood and sweet fig. The taste is pretty damn sweet....toffee, prune, raisin, over-ripe fig, plum, red grape skin, cherry, wood and alcohol with a sweet, warming finish. Full body, fine carbonation and viscous mouth-feel. Too sweet and oily for my taste. I bet Ken loves this! Leighton (21513) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 31, 2013
