Very good, even, dark-beige head over darkbrown beer with reddish highlights. Alcohol, rum, Bourbon, wood, dark fruit as plums, vanilla. Woody flavours, backed up by aged alcohol & vanilla touches. Wry fruit, fusels, complex. Less well-bodied than expected; alcoholburning, but discreet. Certainly a good, reasonably complex beer, but somewhere, one feels entitled to expect just a tad more for this kind.

Bottle, bought @ Bjergtrolden, Roskilde.
Pours dark brown with a lovely, staying, creamy, beige head. Lovely aroma, lots of oak, vinious, sweetness, hazelnuts, red apple, chocolate, coriander, vanilla. Low to medium carbonation, nice creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is fairly sweet, somewhat vinous, chocolate, light roasted, lots of hazelnuts. Good oaky balance. Long, lingering, warming finish with a hint of hoppy bitterness.
