Bottle. 10.5% Best before 26.05.14; 9 months past. Pours black with a diminishing dark tan head. Aroma is roasted, with a light barbecue note. A bit oxidized. Flavour is roasted and sweet, with a hint of barbecue and a light coffee note. A bit of fennel as it warms. Roasted finish with an alcohol burn, rather sweet. Lingering coffee note. A bit too much carbonation. Overall good; well-balanced. 28.02.15. angel77 (3371) - oviedo, SPAIN - JUN 28, 2014
Enjoyit (3809) - Vadum, DENMARK - MAY 4, 2013
Black of color with a brown head. An aroma of sweet liqurice, spice and sweets, hints of alcohol. A flavor of liqurice, sweets, raisins, spice and alcohol. yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 10, 2013
Bottle. A gorgeous looking beer, dark brown in color, seemingly non-see through. A big, dark tan head rests on top. There’s a touch of alcohol on the nose, with roasted malts, dried fruits and a quite evident licorice scent. Sweet on the palate, full-bodied and warming, with flavors of licorice, roasted malts and dried fruits. A nice bitterness kicks on towards the finish. A tasteful and pleasant beer for the quiet and calm late nights. 120525 Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - OCT 30, 2012
0.33 l bottle from Copenhagen. Black color, virtually no head. Sweet aroma with strong cough medicine like licorice, warming alcohol and menthol. Sweet and roasty flavor with woody licorice, menthol and anise. Full bodied. Best of Black Time series but I still there is too much licorice like spiciness.

Bottled. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Nose of Slightly roasted malt, coffee, licorice and caramel. Sweet flavor with mild coffee, chocolate, licorice and dark fruit notes. Medium to full bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. Ends up more dry and with alcohol bite. Once again an exceptinel stout from this brewery, similar to Black 3, maybe a little more rounded.

Post CBC in the Hotel - ’Oh crap I have bought too many bottles again’! As per Black Time 1 and 3 but this one has a smoother softer feel with less licorice and with a trace of smoke. Strongest of the three but felt the most easygoing.
