COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
1 øl for hvert år.

Bottled (backlog). Deep amber colour with a small white foamy head. Aroma is raisins, some yeast, mild sweet malts, mild spices as well as some alcohol to it. Flavour is mildly nutty, some raisins, figs, mild plum as well as some chocolate. Some strange herbal notes to it as well.

Bottle. It pours an unclear amber body under a small, off-white to light beige head. The aroma is toffee-ish, almost butterscotchy, with wood, vanilla, roasted notes and dark sugar. It’s semi-sweet and warming on the palate, with a soft and low level of carbonation. Nougat, caramel, wood, dark sugar and some chocolate in the flavor. Sweet, caramel finish with wood and some booze. Chocolate notes, and some nougat. A decent one, but a bit messy and warming. 140927

Bottle 330ml @ Geokkjer
Pours slightly hazy amber/brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of caramel, dried fruits, alcohol and hint of vanilla. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long warm, caramel and fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Holmen2 (3851) - NORWAY - APR 12, 2014
Dark ruby. Not much head. Alcohol (and not only ethanol) in aroma. Taste is better, Dark caramel and so on. Nuts.

gunnar (9333) - Sandnes, NORWAY - APR 12, 2014
Shared bottle at local tasting. Pours almost clear dark amber with a small white head. Aroma of alcohols, fruity hops. Taste is fruity and hoppy, dominated by the alcohols, not my cupper.

3.4
Sigmund (7764) - Tau, NORWAY - APR 12, 2014
Shared bottle at local tasting. Cognac colour. Barleywine-like boozy aroma of molasses, oak and alcohol. Oaky flavour, fortunately not quite as sweet as I feared, decent hops.

BeerViking (4954) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 23, 2013
Bottle from BarleyWine, pours a deep chestnut red-brown with almost no head. Nose is pear drops, toffee and something whiskyish. Palate is rich and winey, fruity, bitter with peppery notes, and a big drying alcohol bite. Dry and sharply bitter finish, with touches of honey and a woody barrel note.
