Clear dark black brown colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully to mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, light coffee. Flavour is heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration, dark roasted, ash, coffee, chocolate, light licorice - prunes. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Opaque dark brown beer, good tan - brown head. Dark malt nose with a little roast. Softish airy palate with mild fine carbonation. Rich dark malt with mild roast. A little earthy coffee. A little tang. Aniseed spice. Dry finish with dark malt bitter linger. Does what is says on the tin!
