2008 "Shared by random Dane, says my notes". Orangeish amber colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is fruity, malty, mildly toasted along with some floral and toffeeish notes. Flavour is toffee, caramel, some sweet fruitiness and mild floral notes giving a slight honeylike sweetness in the finish as well.
Bottle at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. It pours a hazy, orange body under a small, off-white head. Pine and resin dominates the aroma, but there is also some citrus and promises of a sweet flavor. Sugary maltyness in the mouth, full-bodied, sweet and almost astringent bitter, with flavors of resin and pinecones, and grapefruit. Long piney finish. A bit unharmonic beer but far from bad. Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate to light heavy hoppy, flowers, perfume. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (120908)
POWER OF HOPS. This is really a beer for hops lovers, great aroma, god bitterness with good harmoni, maybe one of the best Double IPA!!! Papsoe (25059) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 12, 2008
(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy golden with an off-white head. Fresh, fat aroma of peaches. Quite full-bodied with plenty of caramel and fruit with distinct peachy accents from the aroma hops that also leave a solid dose of bitterness. 120908

[bottle at EBF 2008]
Blast of US hops in the nose: lemony grapefruit with some caramel in the background. Cloudy, brownish-dark yellow with a white ring. Potent hops bitterness...not balanced with enough sweet malt, but good caramel/toffee/biscuit flavour. Lasting bitterness but not astringent, high carbonation, light to medium body. EBF2008. It’s a beautiful, hazy golden beer and the hoppy aroma has notes of spruce, fruit and citrus. The flavour has a nice, hoppy bitterness and is rather dry, and it has notes of citrus, spruce, pine, mango and if I were to suggest any changes, a little more caramel would make it more harmonic. Bit nice it is! thomahan (31) - DENMARK - SEP 29, 2008
Little unclear because of hops. Very dry, but with body that fill it out. Citrus in smell. perfect!! Grovlam (4252) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 22, 2008
[EBF @ Copenhagen, September 2008] Average bubbly white head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Clear sparkling golden color. Aroma of floral and peach, with some grapefruit and pineapple like notes. Over the palate came good caramel and toasted malty sweetness to counter the bitterness. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation and dry texture. Heavy bitter flavor with good counter sweetness. Lingering dry bitter floral fruity finish. Bragesnak (5394) - Aarhus, DENMARK - SEP 21, 2008
