Bottle. 10.0% Best before 22.04.14; 10 months past. Pours black with a diminishing dark tan head. Aroma is roasted, with a bit of coffee. Chocolate note as it warms. Flavour is roasted, a bit tart, and with a remote liquorice note. Dry finish, roasted, alcohol burn and a light coffee note. Too much carbonation. Overall good, but the carbonation feels somewhat disruptive. 28.02.15. larsniclas (7194) - Billdal, SWEDEN - OCT 15, 2012

Bottle: Either thanks to Jan or Soren (sorry, not sure anymore who brought it along, lol). Batch RØ167:
First the beer has a lively dark brown head, which dives into a brown and longer staying medium sized brown head and that brown head disappears lesser quick than the dark brown head, but does leave a headless black beer fairly quick.
The aroma’s of this beer is a mix of dark chocolate, liquorice, cocoa, tar, deep roasted almost burned barley malts, a slight hint of brown sugars, some alcohol drenched plums/prunes/raisins and chocolate toffee.
The flavours that kick in are ashy burned and tar drenched roasted barley malts, gassy coal, toffee, metal, dark chocolate drenched hoppy bitterness, lot of roasted burned malts and grains, coffee rubber roast, dark bitter candy, toffee, chocolate, grapefruit, light dry and some earthy and tar tones.
Aftertaste has lot of roast, roasted barley malts and grains, bitterness light dry and chocolate drenched sharper herbs.
Low to medium carbo, first soft watery and then lightly blown tingly/spicy mouthfeel, full body and a creamy sticky texture.
Bitter, roasty and strong. Pretty complex, in a way. Quite heavy... gunnfryd (15176) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 9, 2012
Bottle. black colour with a tan head. Aroma is sweet, licorice, coffee. Flavour is sweet, licorice, molasse, coffee, malt, hop, dried fruit. Full body. Very nice beer. yngwie (17185) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 2, 2012
Bottle. A gorgeous looking beer, black body and with a tan, finger-thick head leaving some lacings. Some boozy notes on the nose, else there’s licorice, prunes and a generic touch of dark, dried fruits. The flavor is nice too, but there’s something about it making me think of homebrew. Else it’s pretty much the same booze, licorice and dried fruits found in the aroma. Quite dry on the palate, full-bodied. Certainly a decent one, but there’s something I can’t put my finger on which doesn’t impress. 120413
