Thanks to PMgep (Stefan)... 2011 version. Black beer, small head. Aroma is peat, wood, whisky, roasted. Taste is the same, with hints of coffee and chocolate. The stuff is heavenly...

Bottle at Mette and Theis, thanks to Pentaz. 2011 edition. Black with a tiny ring of foam. Nose has peat, idodine, iron, wet soil. Flavour is more balanced than the nose suggests, but still dominated by peat. Iron, wet soil, twigs. Full body, no carbonation, medium sweet and bitter with light acidity.

Bottle @ Prst shelter w friends/chef/boilermaker. Appearance: Pours clear black with ok shortlived off-white soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste notes: caramel, coffee, chocolate, peat smoke. palette: strong aroma, average carbonation, full body, average to notable caramel sweetness, medium to distinct bitterness, long duration and an oily texture. overall: The time in a whisky cask definitely lifts this one to the nest level

Splitenz (368) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 1, 2014
It pours jet black with just a residue head. The aroma is somewhere between the Laphroaig and Airfix glue. Taste is a viscious bitter, burnt toast, coffee and barrel whiskey. All in all a treat, but the aroma was a bitt too much.

Bottle at Crowbar. Black and almost foamless. Iodine and salty whisky dominates the nose. Good malty balance, salty, but also sweeter chocolate flavours. Quite a goodie.

Bottle. Black thick body, small tanned lacings. Aroma of alcohol, roasted malt, whisky, wood. Taste of licorice, peated whisky, oak. Dry palate, thick body. Sweet aftertaste of malt with alcohol and peat. I really like the beer, though I find the barrelling to maybe be a bit overdone in this one
