50 cl bottle @ home. Pours dark brown with a little sediment and an off-white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma and flavour are caramel, sugar, dried fruit, nuts, and hops - with a dry finish.

Fra flaske på DSJT Cardinal nov-13: De få øl jeg har prøvd fra Det Lille Bryggeri har alle vært sympatiske bekjentskaper, så også dette. Passe bittert med en god og bæraktig fylde. Må sjekke flere fra dette bryggeriet neste gang i København.

Bottle, bought @ Barleywine, Cph. Pours clear dark chestnut with a large, creamy, off-white head. Fine duration. Aroma is very lovely, caramel, port, light vinious, coriander, vanilla, chocolate. Low carbonation, lovely creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is elegant, chocolate, lots of port, vanilla, vinious, hazelnuts. Lingering warming roasted chestnut bitterness.

Bottle at Schouskjelleren. Clear ruby, lovely creamy head. Spicy nose, vanilla. Very complex, wood, nutmeg, yeast, a hint of vinegar. The port wine barrel is not intrusive, but adds another layer. Leather, tobacco.
