COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed exclusively for the 2013 Craft Brewers Conference (and a collaborative project with Reyes Beverage Group), Bloodline is an intensely-hopped IPA brewed with Blood Orange peel and juice.

According to our Brewmaster Matt Brophy, the result is a flavor profile that harnessed the best aspects of both the hops (Warrior, Citra, and Galaxy) and the citrus. He and his brewing team are very fond of hop-based citrus aromas, so experimenting with actual citrus was a natural extension of that.

2014 version is brewed with Northern Brewer, Citra and Galaxy.

12 oz. bottle pours a slightly hazy golden orange with moderate white head that lasts. Aroma is citrus hops (mostly orange) with caramel and some pine. Taste is bitter. Body is medium with a sticky mouthfeel Only the predominantly orange flavor makes this one different from hundreds of other American IPAs.

Frothy off white head left bubbles on a hazy, still, dark orange coloured body. Malt & sweet orange aroma. Medium bodied, thick & sticky on the palate with a tingle on the back & a cloying aft. Feels like a DIPA. Quite malty tastes with orange, bitter pithy citrus & a bitter finish

Caramely aroma show signs of an older bottle. Orange, tangerine and grapefruit. Hazy golden to orange color with small sized white head. Sweet, bit dead, caramelly and peachy hops Orange and grapefruit too. Bitter grapefruit in aftertaste. Thin to medium body, soft carbonation. Okay, but too bad it's not fresh. //bottle at Valhalla

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2018 Draft. It poured a clear orange gold color with a white head and nice lacing. The aroma was floral with a slight citrus note. It was well balanced with just a slight bitterness on the backend.

Can from the Six Barrel Drafthouse, Nottingham. Light brown, clear with a bit of white head. Orange peel, some iced tea, candy sugar in the aroma. It's incredibly sweet for an IPA, only slightly tempered by the sourness provided by the blood orange. Light raw sugar and citrus peel notes in the aftertaste. Tasty, if far from Flying Dog's best showing.
