Growler brought back from Detroit by my wife. Pours a dark black with a thin dark tan head. Aromas of pumpkin pie spice dark chocolate and bitter roast. Medium bodied, very smooth, lots of chocolate sauce pumpkin pie spices cinnamon nutmeg, and nice roasty bitterness. Finishes up with longest bitter cocoa, spice and chocolate. Rather tasty stuff. On tap: The aroma consists of moderate chocolate, light roasted pumpkin, and coffee. It’s a dark brown with some orange transparency and and a small beige head. The flavor starts with moderate chocolate and a touch of roasted pumpkin. The finish has moderate roasted coffee with some minimal spice. It’s medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation. Overall, a pumpkin Porter and not a pumpkin pie Porter. mikem409 (2027) - bloomfield, Michigan, USA - OCT 28, 2012
