Drank this beer after it had sat for 10 minutes and had warmed up a bit. Very aggressive hoppiness with a maltiness that was quite pleasing. Do not drink this right off they serve it to cold. LET IT WARM UP!!! jcwattsrugger (12420) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - SEP 4, 2008
on tap-pours a rich off white head that laces and amber color. Aroma is sweet pine/citrus (cascade), secondary medium malt. Taste is sweet pine/citrus-bitter (cascade), secondary medium malt. Medium body. OK carbonation. Krej (224) - USA - JUN 30, 2014
Had it on tap at the brewery. It’s very good, and definitely better than a baseball game. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - AUG 24, 2012
Draft at the brewery. Pours a cloudy light orange-amber color with a nice 1 cm. head that lingers a bit. Aroma is very floral and piney but lots of malt comes through too. Taste is great, lots of flowers, pine, citrus and some fruitiness too. Solid malt backbone gives it some nice body. Very bitter and dry finish. One of my favorite IPA’s. Draft at brewery. Pours an orange color with white head. Nose is pure hopps, some hints of citrus. Mouth is pure hopps and a great earthy flavor, with a nice bitterness in the end.

UPDATED: APR 22, 2005 Tap: hazy golden yellow with decent head. Nice lacing. Aroma is all citrus hops and maybe a little floral. Flavor was well balanced malt and hops, a little surprising but good. Decent IPA. dmschefke (575) - Macomb, Michigan, USA - JUN 20, 2009
Pours a slight amber orange with medium off-white head. Aroma strong of citrus hops, slight malt, grass, and pine. Flavor matches well, but is dominated by grapefruit, which is nice for a glass, but not my favorite hops bite. Overall a very nice brew...for one glass. HopBurp (74) - Michigan, USA - JUN 13, 2010
Last night on tap at DBC before Tigers game. Pleasant surprise--$2 pints and BBQ specials for a birthday celebration. I was very impressed with this IPA!! Great balance and a perfect amount of hops for me to session Excellent finish and the hops tasted so fresh--citrus bang. Perfect for a summer day like yesterday. Well done DBC and thanks for setting the table for a great night!. BTW, best BBQ brisket I have ever had (better than slows, believe it or not)--should make this a regular menu item. On tap, poured into a sampler glass. Orange and pie crust aromas emanate from this beer with lots of citrus zest and some light toffee. It pours a slightly hazy, amber color with a white head. A medium - light ring is retained with an island of film on the surface. a sparse, micro bubble lace is left down the glass. It’s taste is medium high bitter and medium sweetness. There’s a light, soft carbonation to this slick textured beer, and it has a full citrus body. It’s quite reminiscent of Stone’s IPA, but it’s not as overwhelming in the citrus bitter / astringent category. Tons of bitter grapefruit are present in the gritty finish as well as a mellow, caramel candy character. The aftertaste is relatively short with notes of caramel and biscuit. malkyore (377) - - JUN 30, 2014
The D really has something going for it... This is a really really cool brewpub, and an excellent ipa! Way better than the 9 dollar beers at Comerica Park...
