3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a slight amber orange with medium off-white head. Aroma strong of citrus hops, slight malt, grass, and pine. Flavor matches well, but is dominated by grapefruit, which is nice for a glass, but not my favorite hops bite. Overall a very nice brew...for one glass.
Tap, Brewpub, Detroit, MI. Muted hazy gold. Citrus hops with resin. Long spicy finish. justkoehn (158) - Michigan, USA - APR 8, 2017
Thick lacing with medium head. Floral notes in aroma. Crisp taste with hoppy finish. Standard yet solid IPA.

[7326-20150703] Tap. Light fruity orange peel grains aroma. Slightly hazy, orange body with a quick foamy off-white head. Bitter orange peel and leafy green hops flavour. Medium body is a little bitter. Good. (7/3/8-/3/14) 3.5

2015-07-03. Hazy orange body with a small beige head fades. 3+ Aroma is pleasantly hoppy, fruity citrus, tangerine. Flavour is similar, fruity, citrus, light resin. Smooth average bodied palate, soft carbonation. One of the better options available today. On tap at the brewpub, Detroit. arminjewell (9673) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JAN 18, 2015
Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy orange-red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big orange, grapefruit, citrus rind into some biscuit, toast, slight caramel with a hint of pine and grass. Taste was a mix of orange peel, grapefruit, pine, grass into a bit of spice, yeast, touch of earthy tones into a bit of biscuit, bread, finishing bitter.

The D really has something going for it... This is a really really cool brewpub, and an excellent ipa! Way better than the 9 dollar beers at Comerica Park... Krej (224) - USA - JUN 30, 2014
Had it on tap at the brewery. It’s very good, and definitely better than a baseball game. ARH (1125) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 1, 2014
On tap, poured into a sampler glass. Orange and pie crust aromas emanate from this beer with lots of citrus zest and some light toffee. It pours a slightly hazy, amber color with a white head. A medium - light ring is retained with an island of film on the surface. a sparse, micro bubble lace is left down the glass. It’s taste is medium high bitter and medium sweetness. There’s a light, soft carbonation to this slick textured beer, and it has a full citrus body. It’s quite reminiscent of Stone’s IPA, but it’s not as overwhelming in the citrus bitter / astringent category. Tons of bitter grapefruit are present in the gritty finish as well as a mellow, caramel candy character. The aftertaste is relatively short with notes of caramel and biscuit. njager246 (697) - grand rapids, Michigan, USA - MAY 14, 2014
Tap, before the tigers game! Nice citrus aroma, pretty straight forward ipa, a little funk om the after taste, but otherwise better than I expected tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - DEC 13, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 15, 2014 Tap: somewhere around orange & amber with a slightly thin but creamy, eggshell foam sitting on top. Aroma had some generic hopping with brash leaves, light pine, mild grapefruit peel, with a slight lemon & citric finish. Noticeable toasted, almost-caramel malt bill underneath. Taste is bitter but controlled with notes of pine, herbal leaves, grapefruit peel, orange, & quite a large malt body. Baked bread, toast, & crystal malts add some finishing sweetness & a bit of mount coating. Not bad but I think the malt bill was too dark for this specific hop bill... Would have liked something less sweet, more dry. Just okay.
