2012. Bonne année. Blonde très légèrement voilé. Gros collet à grosses bulles ephémère. Très forte effervescence. Sucré. Très mielleuse. Bien aromatique. Herbacé. Romarin. Menthe. Épicé. Gingembre. Fruits exotiques. Lychee. Papaye. Pomme verte sucré. Un peu de banane. Légèrement boisé/liège. Finale sucré/mielleuse et très légèrement amère. Un vrai délice.

Holy cow. Big soapy bubbles of carbonation float in this clean and pale beer. Smells of green tea ice cream. Tastes of big carbonation... nice and light... almost medicinal in a way and quite spicy. This is a wonderful beer experience. Enjoy it when you can afford 11.5%.

Looks like champage and smells nice. Okay starts with a mouthful of alcohol, then mostly goes into an extremely dry champagne finsih. The strongest flavoring I get though is that of red wine -high quality bitter stuff. Belgian Ale qualities are faint and mostly at the beginning. Overall it really pretty good and powerful. It took getting my motorcycle started to convince me that the occasion was right for a $25 bottle of beer.

Clear and sparkling, palate to die for. crisp flavour with hints of ginger and spice. Over all a fantastic beer. Shame about the price!

A shared krug (thanks to Brian at Coastal Wine Connection!), vintage 2002, the consensus comments were an aroma of ginger and spice, sour and Flemish-like. The appearance golden and solid, like a light Belgian. Flavor: Sweet. Sweet and Sweet. Subdued malt, lemony, complex, restrained and subtle with the only hint of the 11.5% at the very end as a warming sensation rolls off the back fo the tongue. Awesome beer. (#3047, 8/2/2007)

No this really is the Champagne of Beer. distictive perfume aroma. Reminds me of Old Spice. Bright golden color. Pleasant white head with little cabonation bubbles slowly rising to the surface. Very balanced malt, hop. Perfect. Very dry finish. Great, medium body. Flavors and aromas are of a malt beverage. Body, palate is a Champagne charaterisitc from those bubbles. A Masterpiece.

Fantastic! Beer&champagne in one. If you drink it very cold, the taste is about champagne. After a while, when the liquid get warmed the flavour goes to beer. And what kind of beer! Beautiful gold color with sparkling bubbles, firstly comes the flavour of the champagne-yeast and after that a complex beer with a discrete caracter arrives. Thank you, Bosteels!

Quatro palavras para definir essa maravilha: LEVEZA, BALANCEAMENTO, COMPLEXIDADE E SOFISTICAÇÃO. No sabor, floral, frutado, o álcool só se sente levemente na garganta. Sparkling, perlage maravilhoso. Fermento, madeira (carvalho), cítrico, erva-doce, vinho branco, manteiga, manjericão, sálvia e alecrim. Precisa dizer mais?

(750ml Bottle cellared from 2005) Cloudy yellow pour, with a sharp well defined white head. Sweet aroma of yeast, malt, and banana. Sweet start to the taste but rapidly dried out to an almost champagne-like finish. The mouth-feel is the most amazing part of this beer. The carbonation is so tight it drinks like champagne, and it’s as if a million Belgium ballerinas are dancing down your tongue. This is a most wonderful beer, and i recommend it to any beer lovers who are celebrating a special occasion!
