JaKeAFC (1125) - ITALY - AUG 21, 2012
35cl bottle in Alphaville, Barueri, SP. Dark mahogany-red under strong light with a nice brownish head and decent lacing. Contains antioxidant and stabilizers. Nothing in particular on the nose, almost flat. Aroma of toasted malts a bit of caramel. Taste is crisp, initially bittersweet then subtly bitter. Finish is dry, quite short, carbonation is sustained, body is thin. Not bad, sessionable, simple. laiti (8468) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 20, 2012

Aroma has bready malt with rye, some berries and hints of sugar. Feels like a dunkel. Flavour is quite short and slightly sour with some roastiness, rye bread, some sugar and hints of nettles.
355 ml bottle. Thanks Timo A.olio (10260) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 20, 2012
Pours a black colour with a beigeish head. Aroma of rye bread, dough-like yeast and some syrup. Flavour of sweet syrup, rye bread, caramel, syrup and some cardboard. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and a malty, bread-like finish. Well done for an American Dark Lager as this is so rich despite the ABV. Other than that average.

Pours deep dark red color with small quickly dissipating head. Aroma of grain, dark malts, barley, caramel and hay. Flavor of caramel, rye, grain, earth, malts and sugar. Watery, cardboardy palate.
Scopey (14699) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 16, 2012
Tap at Devassa Ipanema. It pours very dark brown, with a thick beige head. The nose is roasted malt, dark fruit, sweaty sock and metal. The taste is very fruity - berry, prune, plum, cherry and currant, as well as some roasted malt and caramel, with a jammy fruit finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. Not bad at all. ClubGonzo (5670) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 6, 2011
Bottle. My first American Dark Lager comes from Brazil! :-D Pours a near-black, red-hued brown body with a big foamy off-white head. Aroma is fruity dark malts, hints of black currants and caramel. Taste is sweet malts, hints of caramel and traces of coffee. A bit watery on the palate, but fairly drinkable. I was somehow expecting something a bit different from this genre (it reminds me a lot of Schwartzbier and I think I’d be hard pressed to separate the two styles) but it was rather boring despite its high drinkability. Kinda OK though. Sevenlee (1846) - Central Coast, NSW, AUSTRALIA - JAN 20, 2011
Very dark ruby colour with a frothy/fizzy offwhite head. Aroma is lightly sweet and malty. Taste is lightly roasted and has a slightly bitter aftertaste. Too straightforward, too watery, lacks complexity and I think it’s way too fizzy in the mouth. I expect more from a dark. Disappointing. fullers (269) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 18, 2010
Bottle Garota de Itauna Saquarema (RJ) Pours near black with large off-white head. Odour faint, sweetish and malty. Initial sweetness with bitter aftertaste.
