Negra Dark Alesaxo (18667) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAY 19, 2006
Draught at the brewpub
Dark brown color. Very light caramel and roasted malt, also very light dark malt sourness. More like a poor Dunkel than an Ale.
Bottle. Medium head with medium duration. Color is dark brown. Taste and aroma is dominated by malt. Oakes (17699) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 20, 2012
Dark brown. The aroma is light toast and brown sugar. Somewhat thin body, light caramel. While not as sweet as the other Brazilian darks, the lack of residual sugar also works against it, gutting it of body and flavour. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - APR 25, 2015
Bottle @ home. Thanks, John. Brown in color with a khaki head. Sweet caramel and a lot of toasted malts. Slightly oxidized and some dark fruits. The flavor has a bunch of cardboard to it, but some good roast, toast, and caramel. Nice dark fruits. A little oxidized. Scopey (14778) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 16, 2012
Tap at Devassa Ipanema. It pours very dark brown, with a thick beige head. The nose is roasted malt, dark fruit, sweaty sock and metal. The taste is very fruity - berry, prune, plum, cherry and currant, as well as some roasted malt and caramel, with a jammy fruit finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. Not bad at all.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. Very malty aroma. Alittle bready but not too bad. Nice sweet flavor, short finish and a little watery, but infact a deasent overseas beer. I like it. DuffMan (10436) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 12, 2008
Dark brown, brief off-white head with no lace. Very sweet aroma, ill-defined, suggesting demerara sugar. Sweet caramel flavour, boxboard note in the finish. In the end too sweet and one-dimensional to return to. But thanks goes out to Dodo for lugging this all the way back from Brazil for me! olio (10290) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 20, 2012
355 ml bottle @ TimoA.laiti (8481) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 20, 2012
Pours deep dark red color with small quickly dissipating head. Aroma of grain, dark malts, barley, caramel and hay. Flavor of caramel, rye, grain, earth, malts and sugar. Watery, cardboardy palate.
35,5 bottle, BBE 17.09.2012SudsMcDuff (8430) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - JAN 27, 2010
Aroma has bready malt with rye, some berries and hints of sugar. Feels like a dunkel. Flavour is quite short and slightly sour with some roastiness, rye bread, some sugar and hints of nettles.
typical but smoother Brazilian dark lager ... . Ah! Yeah. It’s just we’re putting new coversheets on all the TPS reports before they go out now. So if you could go ahead and try to remember to do that from now on, that’d be great. All right!
