Bomber poured a clear gold with a lasting creamy off white head. Aromas of bread, dankness, pine, light grapefruit and a hint of earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, pine, grapefruit and tangerine with a crisp dry bitter lingering tangerine finish.

Bottle split at RB Best Hotel Lobby Share, post festival, 31/01/16. Golden orange with a moderate off white head. Nose is pine needle, leafy hop tones, orange pith, citric tinged straw. Taste comprises grapefruit zest, caramel malt, pine needle, bitter orange, toasted bread. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, drying close peppered with leafy hop bitterness and a light dank hop touch. A serviceable enough DIPA in the Old Skool mould.

Resiny nose, with some wine gum notes. Medium oily body, mainly bitter flavor. Lingering bitter finish with no harshness. Hop flavor doesn’t have the finesse of the world-class double IPAs, but, nevertheless, its a satisfying, sippable strong bitter ale.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Light grapefruit and light pine aroma. Grapefruit and alcohol flavor. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and alcohol lingers with pine and malt.

On tap at Beer Baron. It pours a clear golden orange color with a creamy white head. The aroma is fruity with melon, mango, pineapple and a little dank. The flavor is smooth with honeyed/toasted malt and big fruity berry, mango and pineapple notes. Dry finish. Really fruity with nice toasted malt notes. Good one.

Tasted during our DIPA shootout. Scored at the top. Mosaic or citra hops on nose, tropical fruit or grapefruit on palate, very obvious citrus/fruit flavor. Great fruity beer and relatively dry for a DIPA.

Fatehunter (2561) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - MAR 10, 2016
Pours a finger of head on a slightly hazy straw body. The aroma is awesome: grapefruit and lemon to start, then a build to mango and pineapple, finishes with spice. The taste is super dank bitterness and huge malt body. The texture is thicker. The taste is solid and the aroma is amazing.

Bottle shared by someone at the fart share after RB Best. Thanks! Pours a clear gold color with a small white head that settles into a ring. Floral initially, with caramel malts, pine, honey, and resin. Medium-bodied, with a smooth, sweet, tea-like, bitter mouthfeel. Good balance. Solid DIPA.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear golden amber with a thin white head. Subtle citrus, light malt on the nose. Medium-bodied, soft malt, warming alcohol, bright citrus. Slow citrus, soft grapefruit, light touches of warming alcohol. Lovely.
