Aroma super strong of coffee.. Taste is overpowered by coffee, not much of anything else. Aroma is a dead brown/black w/ not much head... giving benefit of the doubt as keg kicked. Very smooth. It is nice.

appearance: medium brown, slight reddish tint, creamy tan head, little lacing. aroma: lots of coffee, some nutty notes, a bit of wood and caramel. taste: coffee running away, with an undertone of caramel and vanilla, some toasty wood, a hint of nuts, and some vegetal, earthy notes. finish: macchiato notes linger, along with some earthy, slightly herbal hops. notes: Definitely a coffee-lover’s dream, and nice to see a coffee-focused beer not built around a stout. Felt more like a brown ale than an ASA, but that’s just a quibble. Not bad. Bottle from the Beer & Wine Cellar in Rockville, Maryland.

Draft at Rustico Ballston. Poured a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Fresh coffee, roasted malts, some light green pepper. Light bitterness, almost a mild chocolate character. Alcohol pretty well hidden. Interesting.

Coffee bomb, without much of a beer backbone. Pours dark brown with ok head. Light caramel malt. Tap at Rustico.
