COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first stab at using souring bacterial techniques at DB for this rare style of beer. Lactobacilli was added to this brew to provide a tart snappy sourness. Straw in color, light bodied with a tart finish.

Bottle from Adventure Pack 12 pk. Pours a golden color with quickly dissipating head. Tart, lemon, wheat aromas. Tart, wheat, lemon zest flavors. Solid berliner, but not a standout

Bottle thanks to Eric. Pours a clear yellow gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is dough, wheat, lemon zest. Thin body, wheat, lemon, light crisp finish, good.

Bottle. Pours as one should expect -- exceptionally light, thinly bodied, with a very light, fruity aroma. This drinks with a light fruity character that will appeal to those who like the style. IMHO it’s almost over-flavored (if that’s a thing), and not as sour as the purest representatives of Berlin. Enjoyable-enough, very light beer though. (#6383, 10/27/2016)

Bottled from adventure Pak. Cloudy yellow, very salty and tart. OK but no there there

On tap at Whole Foods Fair Lakes, pours a straw gold with some swirling white head. Nose is odd, buttery, straw, some white flour, lemon, a little rotting fruit. Flavor follows right along, vitamin C, grating lemon, but something like rancid butter happening too. Watery, lemony finish.

Clear pale golden colour, no real head. Sour aroma, citric acid, white grapes. Light sour flavour, white grape juice, light citric. Light sour white grape finish.

Very slightly hazy golden coloured body with a crisp honey colour and a thin, fast-dying head about a centimetre tall and purely white. Aroma of a plain lager with miller lite scents showing rice, cardboard and the faintest hints of lemon - not too easy on the nose. Light-bodied; Sharp cardboard and stale malt flavours with a light grassy and herbal flavour and only a touch of lemons and tartness - but very light and not too pleasant. Aftertaste shows a relatively bland beer with not too much exciting and not a good beer for the style at all with absolutely no complexity. Overall, this is more of a blonde ale than anything else - bland and not sour/tart with no complexity. I know we’re far from Berlin, but this is just bad. I sampled this 32 ounce growler, filled yesterday on 20-September-2015 for US$5,00 at Whole Foods in Fair Lakes, Virginia sampled at home in Washington the following day on 21-September-2015.

Light crisp metallic aroma. Light golden body and fuzzy white head. Light juicy citrus flavors. Crisp on the palate.
