Fair, not much malt in aroma. Would have liked more. Kind of cloudy and muddy. Good flavors but lacking something. Decent finish with a lingering caramel note. BierMeHoos (587) - Maryland, USA - APR 3, 2014
Caramel flavor. Deep red pour without a head. The aroma is quite sweet and tempting. The taste is clean and smooth for 8%. I’m a huge scotch ale fan and this is quite good! UncleKorm (1319) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - JAN 31, 2014
Bottle poured a clear reddish brown hue w/ a small creamy beige head. Moderate sweet malty aroma. Initial taste is moderate sweet with a moderate bitter finish of moderate duration. Tastes are malt, earthiness, grass, and vodka. Full bodied, soft carbonation, and a warm boozy finish. Artichoke (88) - California, USA - DEC 29, 2013
One finger head, nice malt sweetness characteristic of a Scottish ale. It has some lovely bitterness at the finish, but nothing unusual in terms of flavor. Luvystypotables (1963) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - DEC 29, 2013
No aroma, dark amber colour, no head. Pleasant taste of malt. Sweet palate of malt and syrup.

This one poured a lighter brown with an off white head. Aroma was of caramel, toast and grass. Falvor was similar, semi sweet and watery, malty with small hop balance. jrodooo5 (1672) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - DEC 15, 2013
Mmm, slightly thick and loaded with caramel flavor. Deep red pour without a head and virtually no lacing. The aroma is quite sweet and tempting. The taste is clean and so smooth at 8%. I’m a huge scotch ale fan and this doesn’t disappoint! Sledutah (7530) - Utah, USA - DEC 10, 2013
12oz bottle thanks to obguthr strongpieman (1651) - Mount Airy, Maryland, USA - DEC 10, 2013
Pours clear dark ruby with a small off-white head, no lacing. Aroma is smoky, caramel, woody and sweet. Flavors caramel, sweet malts, crackers and hot alcohols
A decent Scottish Ale, nice for a cold night.
Bottle. Clear, copper colored beer with no head. A little syrupy with some sweetness and rusty flavors but good for style overall. Higher alcohol makes it a little warming as well.
