Our first crack at using pear in brewing! This light bodied beer is a beautiful straw color and has a smooth crisp finish with a delicious and quenching pear flavor. A great easy-drinking beer thats perfect to kick off the summer!

On tap @ West Hills Flats & Taps. Pale orange, very loose foam. Smells like pear, with some white wine & citrus. Very thin palate. Taste is pear, wine, lemon. Its very sweet, verging into cheap cider territory.

Clear golden coloured body with a nice, thin, single centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of pears (of course), apples, light yeast and wheat and a bit of breadie funky. Light-bodied; Mellow grassy and herbal flavours with a bit of a apple and pear sweetness along with a touch of crisp grain and very little else, aside from some yeast. Aftertaste shows the grain and sweetness with some light honey, a touch of malt and thats about it - fairly mild, but the effervescence is noticeable. Overall, about what youd expect for the beer, but a tad underwhelming, considering its mild flavour and non-existant complexity. Not really worth trying, but fun compared to most IPAs and Saisons. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Fair Lakes (Fairfax), Virginia on 28-January-2017 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington a few hours before leaving for Charlottesville (and Roseland), Virginia for the very first time on 24-Feburary-2017.

Col brought this to our last bottle share but no one fancied it. So the wifes drinking it instead. Had a taster. Poured amber with a small white head. Aroma of grain and very light pear. Quite heavy sweetness, light bitterness. Light body, oily texture. Not great.

Poured from a bottle. No head or lacing, but a very attractive clear amber color with sustained bubbles rising from the bottom. Understated, pleasant fruity aroma, the pear gives it enough flavor to enjoy, otherwise the beer would be bland. Not bad once.

In a word yuck! A faint pear and grain aroma. Pours a clear gold color with a thin short lasting white head. Tastes like someone mixed pear cider and Budweiser. A pleasant pear taste to start but quickly turns gross. Thin watery feel with a funky fruit and grain finish.

12 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a clear gold color with a white head of foam that dissipates at a moderate rate. The aroma hits me with apples and pears, and reminds me a lot of a cider. The taste, however, sort of falls off as far as the fruit taste goes. It seems like an apple or pear flavored water. Does not taste authentic. Moderate sweetness. High carbonation and light in body. If somebody told me this was an apple flavored pop, I would believe it.

Bright clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Light malts, mildly sweet. Trace of citrus. Sweetish pear and a little apple. Does what it says on the tin, but I was hoping for something a little more sophisticated.
